If you're Kim Kardashian and you have a cross-country beauty emergency, who do you call? Katy Perry, of course. Though KKW's 2018 Met Gala outfit was stunning from head to toe—the reality star wore a skin-tight gilded Versace slip dress and her hair half-up—there was one little detail that almost didn't work out. Apparently, the 36-year-old forgot her press-on nails back in Los Angeles.

When a Perry fan account posted a picture of the singer examining the reality star's long French manicure, a Kardashian fan profile responded, “I can already hear Kim. ‘I don’t usually do long nails so I decided to switch it up tonight.’” Kardashian was clearly online, though, because she personally responded to this tweet with the most epic story ever. “Katy actually flew my nails on her plane over to me from LA LOL,” Kardashian wrote. “They are just glued on! So had to show her!” What's a little extra cargo on a private jet between friends?

Both Kardashian and Perry were on trend for the Met Gala's theme ("Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination"), but the latter really took things up a notch by adorning her look with enormous angel wings.

Both celebrities wore Versace and coordinated in gold chainmail looks, with Perry opting for a short long-sleeved dress and thigh-high boots. Perhaps the nails were Versace-branded as well, which was why KKW couldn't pick up a replacement pair on the East Coast? Either way, thanks for being a friend, Katy!
