Well, that was fast. A few hours after The Strokes frontman Julian Casablancas announced the band’s forthcoming EP on his SirisXM show, it’s now available to stream in full.

The four-track Future Present Past ends the New York band’s three-year dry streak, marking their first new release since 2013’s Comedown Machine. It kicks off with “Drag Queen,” which sounds like a scrap from one of Casablancas’s solo records, then moves into “OBLIVIUS,” which is quintessential Strokes: distorted vocals, fuzzy electric guitars, and an explosive chorus. Rounding it out is “Threat of Joy,” a jangly tune that’ll win over old-school fans, and an “OBLIVIUS” remix courtesy of drummer Fab Moretti.

Future Present Past officially releases on June 3 via Casablancas’s own Cult Records. In an interview with Annie Mac on Thursday during her BBC Radio 1 show, he said a full-length Strokes album was a possibility “if the collective will can be summoned and corralled.” So... maybe... someday?
