Jay Z Finally Addresses 'Lemonade' On ‘All The Way Up’ Remix

'Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is'

It’s been nearly two years since Jay Z has lent a full verse to a record (no, his one single bar on Drake’s “Pop Style” doesn’t count), but Fat Joe’s new summer anthem was apparently enough to wake Hov from hibernation.

Sure, the two New York MCs had beef back in the day, but that’s apparently old news, as Jay hops on a remix of Fat Joe, Remy Ma, and French Montana’s hit “All The Way Up.” Appropriately enough, the track debuted during a Yankees game on Tuesday night, driving home its old school, New York vibes. It’s also available to stream exclusively on Tidal, which is hardly shocking, given Jay’s involvement.

As for his contribution to the remix, consider us floored. Hov boldly references Beyoncé’s album Lemonade, opening with the line, “You know you made it when the fact your marriage made it is worth millions/ Lemonade is a popular drink and it still is.” He also shouts out the fact that Prince’s music catalog is exclusively available on Tidal: “Prince left his masters where they safe and sound/ We never gonna let the elevator take him down!”

Yeah, this was worth the wait.
