Here's Your First Look At Emma Watson's Belle In 'Beauty And The Beast'

It's no wonder that her name means 'beauty'

It's a tale as old as time, which is why Disney is telling it again more than 25 years later.

The first teaser trailer for the live-action retelling of Disney's animated classic Beauty and the Beast was unveiled on Good Morning America Monday morning, nine months after the first footage of Emma Watson in that iconic golden dress was previewed during the annual D23 Expo last summer.

While the teaser doesn't include a glimpse of Watson's Belle of the ball, it does give us our first official look at the live-action Disney princess, showing her surprising arrival at the Beast's castle. Two of the castle's most beloved residents can also be heard, Lumiere the candlestick (voiced by Ewan McGregor) and his bickering buddy Cogsworth the clock (voiced by Ian McKellen), as well as the film's timeless theme. Needless to say, we have chills -- and it's not just because Belle left the castle door open.

Directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky (The Perks of Being a Wallflower), Beauty and the Beast brings the classic fairy tale to life with new music from Disney favorites Alan Menken and Sir Tim Rice. Watson will be joined by Dan Stevens as Beast, Luke Evans as Gaston, Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad as LeFou, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, among the rest of the amazingly star-studded cast, which includes a delightful new character named Cadenza the grand piano, voiced by Stanley Tucci.

Beauty and the Beast waltzes into theaters March 17, 2017.
