Travis Scott Is Still Saying His New Album Is Almost Here — Should We Trust Him?
It feels like Travis Scott’s new album, Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, has been moments away from dropping for months.
In May, he said it was dropping “in a couple of fucking days.” In June, he said it was “coming out in a week.” Now, here we are, at the end of July, still with no album — but with another update. At a concert in New York on Tuesday night, Trav gave a firm date: August 5.
This seems substantially more promising than the last couple of briefings he gave on the album. This time around, there’s an actual date, and that date is a Friday, which is when albums are typically released.

Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight follows up Travis’s debut album, Rodeo, which came out in September 2015.
