Brooks Koepka just won free beer for all of New York City

Golf is difficult enough, but it becomes nearly impossible to sink a shot when the flag is moved from solid ground to, say, a barge floating in New York City's Hudson River.

Unless you're Brooks Koepka.

Koepka, the defending PGA Championship winner and victor of the past two U.S. Opens, made that feat look easy. The star golfer stood atop a hill on Governors Island, situated between Brooklyn and the Statue of Liberty, and lined up a perfect shot to land on a barge in the water.

That shot won free beer for all of New York City.

The barge, which was a measly 20 feet wide and situated 120 yards away, was put in the river by Michelob ULTRA. Koepka was aiming for a flag placed within a Michelob ULTRA logo in the center of the barge's green. Despite winds that Koepka estimated to be close to 30 miles per hour, he nailed the shot and proved why he's one of the best golfers in the game today.

Thanks to Koepka, fans in New York City will enjoy free beer, courtesy of Michelob ULTRA, during the PGA Championship, which begins at Long Island's Bethpage Black Course on Thursday, May 16. New Yorkers will be able to get a free Michelob ULTRA at participating bars that day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Alternatively, fans can also secure a $5 rebate on Michelob ULTRA six-packs purchased on May 16.

Koepka, who just accomplished his highest-ever finish at the Masters in April, will be at Bethpage looking to win his second straight PGA Championship. After the drinks he just secured for all of New York, we're sure he'll have plenty of people cheering him on.
