Drumstick cereal is basically ice cream for breakfast

Updated

There's no sound sweeter than an ice cream truck making its way to your street in the heat of the summer. But now, you can basically have one of the truck's most popular treats for breakfast. Check out the new Drumstick cereal!

Drumsticks (also sometimes referred to as Nutty Buddies) are those delicious sugar cones lined with chocolate, filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with a hardened chocolate shell and peanuts. Of course, they're also available at most grocery and convenience stores, but now so are two cereal versions of the cone.

Drumstick cereal comes in two—YES TWO—flavors: classic vanilla and mint chocolate. According to a picture posted to Instagram by a Walmart in Cincinnati a few days ago, the cereals created by General Mills are made of sweetened corn and wheat cereal with a combination of square Chex and round puffs.

No word yet on if these are a Walmart exclusive or if they'll be rolling out elsewhere, so keep an eye out or get to your local Walmart stat.
